Eligibility

IADT Members who have held continuous full memberships for 3 years, have demonstrated a variety of activities in dental traumatology, and passed an online examination will earn special recognition and the distinctive title of Fellow of the International Association of Dental Traumatology. 

Applicants who seek eligibility to sit for the Fellowship examination must:
2.1 Have been a full active member of IADT for a minimum of 3 consecutive years immediately prior to Application AND
2.2 Have accumulated 12 points from activities in at least 3 different areas (See Appendix 1) AND
2.3 Candidates MUST be an author or co-author of a paper published on dental trauma in a journal with an impact factor of at least 1.0

The Fellowship examinations are held once each year. The next examination will be in     October 2024. The exam will be an online examination using English as the official language and the FDI World Dental Federation notation for tooth identification. The examination window will be over a few days over each examination period. The examination must be taken in a single sitting with a maximum time limit of 2 1//2 hours. The format will be 100 questions using multiple choice and extended matching questions. A score of 70% in the examination will be required to award Fellowship status. FYI Pass mark reduced from 75% to 70% by vote at IADT Board meeting in 2020.
