Help Shape the Future of IADT

The International Association of Dental Traumatology (IADT) invites nominations for the IADT Board of Directors for the 2027–2028 term.

Newly elected Directors will serve a two-year term, beginning January 1, 2027, and ending December 31, 2028.

About the Role

An IADT Director is a member of the Board of Directors, elected by the organization's membership to represent members' interests and ensure that the organization's management acts on their behalf.

As a member of the Board, a Director participates in governing the organization by:

  • Establishing its mission, policies and objectives
  • Selecting, appointing, supporting and reviewing officers
  • Approving annual budgets
  • Accounting to IADT members for the organization's performance

All Directors are expected to be actively involved in the organization and devote substantial time to various tasks throughout their term.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A nominee must be a current IADT Active Member for three consecutive years or a Life Member.
  • Former Directors are eligible for election, provided that they have not served as a Director during the preceding three years.

Nomination Process

Nominations may be self-initiated, submitted by a third party, or made by the Directors Nominating Committee.

If a nomination is initiated by a third party, it must be accompanied by an acknowledgment from the nominee that they are willing to serve as a Director of IADT.

Required Nomination Materials

Member-initiated and self-initiated nominations, including nominations of former Directors, must include the following documentation:

Three Letters of Support

Three (3) letters from Active or Life IADT members. Each letter must include:

  • Identification of the member providing the letter
  • The relationship to the nominee and length of time they have known the nominee
  • An explanation of the nominee's qualifications, experience and strongest qualities for serving effectively as an IADT Director

Nominee Acknowledgment

If the nomination is initiated by a third party, include an acknowledgment from the nominee confirming that she/he is willing to serve as a Director of the IADT.

Recent Photograph

Provide a recent digital color photograph (headshot) of the nominee.

One-Page Curriculum Vitae (CV)

Submit a one-page CV, not to exceed 250 words, detailing current and past activities in dental traumatology related to academic, organizational, community, governmental, or clinically based environments.

Statement of Motivation

Submit a one-paragraph Statement of Motivation explaining why the nominee wants to serve as an IADT Director and her/his goals if elected.

Submit Your Nomination

Nominations must be submitted to the Chair of the Directors Nominating Committee at the IADT Administration Office via email no later than September 27, 2026.

All nominations received will be acknowledged by email. Nominations lacking any required documentation will not be considered. The Committee will review all applications and prepare ballot papers for election in November 2026.
