Dear IADT Family,
Entering the last month of 2025, I would like to thank all of you for being such an integral and important part of the IADT family, working diligently in each of your own ways to provide dental trauma education and promote prevention, proper management, and best care for our patients and communities. Your IADT membership, support, and strong commitment are invaluable. You are the engine that makes this amazing association move forward. I would also like to wish all of you, your family, and loved ones a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2026!
The Case Report Competition for 2025 is now open. This is an exciting opportunity for each one of you to submit and showcase your most interesting case related to dental or oral trauma. Please visit our website to learn about the competition rules and submission process. This is your opportunity to share with us your clinical experiences and wisdom in the diagnosis, treatment, and/or follow-up management of dental trauma patients. The winners will be recognized at the upcoming 23rd World Congress on Dental Traumatology (WCDT2026), which will take place in Warsaw, Poland, September 3-5, 2026.
This is also the time to prepare for the opening of the IADT 2025 Tsukiboshi Award for Research in Dental Traumatology. This prestigious award is based on a competition that is held by the IADT that aims to encourage and recognize research excellence in the field of dental traumatology. If you published a paper in Dental Traumatology, our flagship journal, in 2025, this call is for you! Check out our website for more details.
In an exciting move to recognize more IADT members for their significant lifetime contributions to the field of dental traumatology, the IADT Board of Directors just approved The Ulf Glendor Oral Health Research Award. The name of the award recognizes and honors the unique contributions that Dr. Ulf Glendor, a world-class researcher and IADT member, made over his professional lifetime in the epidemiology of dental trauma and public health. The Honors and Awards Committee will be publicizing the guidelines for the award and calling for nominations in 2026.
It is also the time of the year to renew your membership for 2026. Please log in to your Members Only section of the website or contact our management office at iadt@iadt-dentaltrauma.org and ensure you are in good standing for another exciting year with us at the IADT. There are many thrilling events and surprises waiting for you in 2026.
