Dear IADT Family,
Get ready for it! Our next big event is Global Dental & Oral Trauma Day. This special day, scheduled annually on September 21, celebrates and recognizes the importance of dental and oral trauma and the impact it has on the lives of its victims and the professionals who diagnose and treat these victims worldwide. It also highlights the dental community’s role in managing dental trauma and the standout role that IADT plays in the field. Many of you have approached us with initiatives and ideas implemented or planned in your country, state, or region. We would love to hear more about how you are planning to celebrate the day to make it more meaningful for your communities and your patients. We will be happy to work together to disseminate and showcase your activities on our social media platforms to inspire others worldwide and to spark curiosity and creativity.
July and August are busy months for IADT’s Board and Executive Committee. Both leadership groups are working together to move the IADT forward with creative initiatives and well-thought-out plans for the future. An important part of the ongoing planning is our flagship event, the 23rd World Congress on Dental Traumatology, which will take place in Warsaw, Poland, September 3-5, 2026. Make sure to start planning now to attend. We are looking forward to a great scientific and social program in one of Europe’s great capitals.
The winners of the Tsukiboshi Award for Research in Dental Traumatology will be announced soon. We received many impressive applications and are looking forward to the decision of our Research Committee. The Tsukiboshi Award for Research in Dental Traumatology is given annually based on a competition. The award aims to encourage and recognize research excellence in the field of Dental Traumatology.
Be on the lookout for the next IADT Newsletter, scheduled for publication online later this month.
