May 2026 President’s Message

Dear IADT Family,

On April 16th, representatives from the IADT board met with the board of directors of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) and other prominent international associations at an International Forum, organized by the AAE in Salt Lake City, Utah (USA). This annual gathering provided a wonderful opportunity to hear about the latest developments and priorities in various associations, to showcase the IADT’s activities, and to open channels of communication for future collaborative efforts between the IADT, AAE, and other international organizations.

As president of the IADT, the opportunity to present the IADT’s achievements, programs, and activities in each of the last four years at the International Forum has been a privilege. It is not often that we can step back, reflect, and then convey to others the many great things you, your colleagues, and your organization, the IADT, are doing for the betterment of our professional and lay communities in the areas of dental trauma education, clinical and research support, and global communication. I am confident we can continue this great work and accomplish the mission of our association.

As we draw closer to our highlight event of the year, the 23rd World Congress on Dental Traumatology (WCDT2026) in Warsaw, Poland, September 3-5, 2026, I’d like to encourage you to take advantage of the early bird window and register soon for this outstanding meeting. Please consider submitting an abstract and sharing your knowledge and experience with others.

Soon after the meeting in Warsaw, we will call for nominations for IADT Director to serve on the board for the 2027-2028 term. There are many reasons for serving on the IADT’s board of directors. It allows you to directly influence our organization’s mission, achieve our objectives, and help shape solutions to global community challenges. It gives you the opportunity to apply your expertise for the benefit of the organization in programming, finance, strategic planning, or leadership. It can help you learn new skills, gain visibility, and even serve as a stepping stone to executive positions. These are just a few of many reasons that serving as an IADT Director can be a rewarding, beneficial, and value-enhancing experience. If you are willing to serve in this capacity and aspire to join an amazing group of like-minded individuals with shared interest in and passion for dental traumatology, please consider nominating others or yourself for this important role in the IADT. Detailed information on the nominating process will be provided later this year as we approach the Directors’ nominating period.

Remember to renew your IADT membership for 2026. Log in to your Members Only section of the website or contact our management office at iadt@iadt-dentaltrauma.org to ensure you are in good standing for another exciting year with the IADT. Do not miss out on being a part of a great organization with its stellar events, superb education, and a few surprises that await in 2026.
