Dear IADT Family,

Thank you to all the IADT members, colleagues, and friends who joined us on September 21st to celebrate “Global Dental and Oral Trauma Day”, a special day set aside to promote, publicize, and encourage prevention and proper management of traumatic dental and oral injuries worldwide. This day will be celebrated annually with more surprises and activities added each year. Our concerted effort to raise awareness for dental and oral trauma is gaining traction. Every step is important in promoting prevention and proper management and follow-up of trauma cases. On behalf of IADT’s board of directors, I want to thank Katie Divine for her extraordinary enthusiasm and creativity in making the day a rousing success.

The IADT board recently approved support for a regional dental trauma meeting in Brazil in 2025. This meeting will take place in Uberlandia, Minas Gerais, Brazil on May 22-23, 2025. We encourage you to save the date and plan your visit to Brazil to have a great learning experience in the field of dental traumatology. The program will be in English with Portuguese translation. The IADT is working with the local organizing committee, led by Dr. Carlos Soares, to create a diverse and enriching program. In addition to the educational program, the meeting planners are working on an exciting social program for all registrants. We look forward to seeing many of you in Brazil in 2025.

Nominations to fill the eight (8) open Directors’ positions for the 2025-2026 term have been finalized. The Directors Nominating Committee is working diligently to prepare the online ballot for all Active and Retired IADT members in good standing to vote. Don’t miss the opportunity to vote for your choice of Directors for the next term of the Board. Your vote is crucial for shaping the future of the association.
