Dear IADT Family,
The IADT is ready to select the next generation of leaders who will lead the association forward in the next few years. The election to fill the eight (8) open Directors’ positions for the 2025-2026 term will be open for voting very soon for all Active and Retired IADT members. Do not miss the opportunity to cast your ballot for your choice of Directors for the next Board term. Your vote is crucial for shaping the future of the association.
We urge you to consider joining one of our committees for the new term to help the IADT board with its efforts to advance the IADT and its goals worldwide. Please look at our Committees page on the website for more information about the work of the different committees. We encourage you to reach out to me or to Emily (emily@res-inc.com) in December or January if you are interested in serving on one of the committees. This is a great opportunity to get involved and learn more about the work and efforts of the IADT in providing dental trauma education, enhancing professional relationships, exercising organizational governance, and planning international conferences.
There are two more weeks to enjoy the current IADTube presentation by Dr. Geertje Van Gorp that focuses on the challenges with mature teeth following traumatic dental injuries. Then 15 days later, be ready for another highlight in the IADTube series. Professor Zafer Cehreli will talk about myths and facts in the treatment of dental trauma treatment in an engaging and fascinating lecture.
Finally, in an unexpected and sobering turn of events, Professor Zafer Cehreli, who was elected President of the IADT for the 2025-2026 term earlier this year, had to step down from the position due to serious family medical issues. The Officers Nomination Committee was reconvened to nominate a new president. Subsequently, the board elected Professor Liran Levin for a second two-year term as president and Professor Anne O’Connell for another term as Past President. The remaining officers previously elected by the board remain the same. I know I speak for the entire board and the IADT membership in expressing our sincerest hope for a sure, complete, and positive outcome for the Cehreli family during this difficult time.
The current issue of the newsletter has been uploaded to the IADT website. Please take a moment to catch up on the latest IADT news.

Liran Levin
