April 2025 President’s Message

Dear IADT Family,

It is hard to believe that the first quarter of 2025 is already behind us and new ventures are already taking shape. Exemplifying the exciting plans and actions I mentioned in last month’s message, is IADT’s impending South American regional meeting in Brazil. This meeting will be held in Uberlandia, Minas Gerais, Brazil on May 22-23, 2025. Meeting registration and abstract submissions are open with spaces filling up rapidly. So do not delay submitting your registration. Plan to travel to Brazil to enjoy an unforgettable event with insightful lectures on a wide variety of dental traumatology topics along with special social events. I encourage you to visit the IADT website for more detailed information on this special meeting.

Several members of the IADT board, including your president, are on the way to Boston (USA) for the Annual Meeting of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE). During the meeting, we will meet with the executive team of the AAE as well as executives from other leading international dental organizations. We will report on IADT’s activities, share ideas with our international colleagues, and discuss potential future collaborations. I will report back to you next month with more details about this important meeting.

As a result of the interest, enthusiasm, and considerable efforts of IADT’s speakers for the 22nd World Congress on Dental Traumatology in Tokyo, Japan, last July, IADT’s official journal, Dental Traumatology, published a special issue featuring a robust collection of articles on dental traumatology. These papers were authored by many of the world’s leading authorities in the field. I encourage you to peruse this special issue to take advantage of and learn from the educational treasures it offers. The collection of articles are found in Dental Traumatology: Volume 41, Issue S1 (Special Issue: Proceedings from the WCDT 2024 meeting in Tokyo, Japan), 2025.

Make sure to log into the members section of the IADT’s website to find the IADTube channel and this month’s informative lecture provided by our President-Elect, Michał Sobczak (Warsaw, Poland). Michal’s presentation is entitled “Pathways to Esthetics and Bone Growth in Dental Traumatology.” The lectures on the IADTube channel provide a unique opportunity to gain valuable information on a wide variety of dental traumatology topics. So, log in, sit back, listen, and learn from the current and upcoming outstanding presentations.

Please remember to renew your IADT membership for 2025, if you have not done so yet. While renewing your membership, feel free to use the donation button on our website as well! Your donation, along with those of others, goes a long way toward improving the lives of dental trauma victims around the world.

Make sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn to get updates and more news from the IADT.

Yours,

Liran Levin
