December 2024 President’s Message

Dear IADT Family,

I would like to dedicate this December message to all of you, the members of the IADT, and to offer my sincerest thanks for making the IADT the amazing association that it is. I would also like to thank all the members who cast their votes in the recent election for the next group of Directors, who will serve on the board for the 2025-2026 term. We have many exciting tasks to start or continue, and a full agenda of work lined up for the next term. Our organization will depend on the newly elected board of directors to willingly, enthusiastically, and capably carry out the work necessary to create new goals for the organization and to achieve those currently in progress. With the election results available soon, I look forward with great confidence and enthusiasm to working with the new board in the new term.

I would also like to offer my thanks to the outgoing Board of Directors for asking me to serve as your president for a second term. Although this was not planned, I am deeply honored, humbled, and excited to continue the work as the president of this outstanding association for two more years. I cannot wait to see our professional family continue to grow and move forward with strong initiatives to promote the prevention and proper management of traumatic dental injuries.

To help the IADT board with its efforts to advance the work of the IADT and to achieve its worldwide goals, I invite you to consider joining one of our committees for the new term. Please look at our Committees page on the website for more information about the work of the different committees. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me, the secretary (Fabricio-Teixeira@uiowas.edu), or to Emily (emily@res-inc.com) at RES Inc. in the next two months if you are interested in serving on one of the committees. This is a great opportunity to get involved in the IADT and to learn more about our work and efforts to provide high-quality dental trauma education, enhance professional relationships, exercise organizational governance, and plan international conferences.

Finally, be on the lookout for a new special issue of our flagship journal, Dental Traumatology, which will be published early in 2025. It will contain a remarkable collection of review papers based on lectures that were given at the recent World Congress on Dental Traumatology (WCDT 2024) in Tokyo, Japan. I would like to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to the cadre of leaders and experts who dedicated their time, knowledge, and expertise to create this special issue.

Make sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn to get updates and more news from the IADT.

Yours,

Liran Levin

President, IADT
